Caramel Apple Porridge
INGREDIENTS:
80g Flahavan’s Progress Oatlets
400ml whole milk
pinch of sea salt
1 medium-sized apple
1sp apple cider vinegar
4-5 dates, pitted and chopped
50ml water
2 tbsp nut butter of your choice (e.g. almond, cashew, peanut)
2-3 dates. pitted for the nut butter blend
METHOD:
Cook: In a pan, gently simmer the oats in the milk until creamy.
Compote: On low heat, sauté slices of apple with 50g of chopped dates. Cook until the apple softens.
Blend: Process 2tbsp of nut butter with two pitted dates until smooth.
Serve: Top creamy porridge with apple-date compote and drizzle with the nut butter blend.
