Flahavan’s scoops Great Taste Awards 2020

We are delighted to announce that Flahavan’s have been awarded several stars at this year’s prestigious Great Taste Awards. The world’s most trusted food and drink awards, judged by 144 of the most discerning palates, announced its 2020 winners today – the judging lasted 14 weeks and all products are removed from their packaging before tasting.

Proudly, our Organic Porridge Oats 1kg was awarded two stars, which the Great Taste Awards categorise as products that are ‘above and beyond delicious’. Regarding our Organic Porridge Oats the judges remarked it to be “ an accurate, honest flavour profile and character showcasing the care and time that has gone into the production of these delicious organic oats.”
Our much-loved Organic Jumbo Porridge Oats 1kg and Chocolate & Orange Flapjacks were both awarded one star each!
Regarding our Organic Jumbo Porridge Oats the judges remarked: “Beautiful large oats, that swell and split perfectly on cooking to form a silky, creamy porridge. With a lovely almost nutty flavour, these oats are a joy to have at breakfast.”
The judges also commended our Dark Chocolate & Orange Flapjacks, commenting the following: “A very crisp texture that gently yields in the mouth revealing its flavour profiles: Richly buttery, toasty, not overly sweet, freshly baked flavours with tangy orange notes adding a contrast and elements of bittersweet cocoa bringing a richness and luxurious element. The flapjack is well balanced, flavoursome and satisfying.
