Honey, Nuts & Fruit Granola with Choc Chips

Crunchy, sweet and bursting with flavour this is a granola recipe to beat all others!

Serves 8|Takes 50 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

250g Flahavan’s Progress Oatlets
140g whole cashew nuts
75g flaked almonds
65g coconut flakes
100g honey
100g light brown sugar
100g butter
50g dried apricots, chopped
50g dried cranberries
100g dark chocolate chips

METHOD:

Heat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Place the Flahavan’s Progress Oatlets, cashew nuts, flaked almonds and coconut flakes into a large bowl. Melt the sugar, honey and butter in a small saucepan and bring to boiling point. Remove from the heat, pour over the oat mixture and mix well. Spread out onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven every 10 minutes and toss well bringing the mixture from the edges of the tray towards the centre. Once the granola is golden throughout, remove from the oven and cool. When cold add the chopped apricots, cranberries and chocolate chips.

Top Tip: Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
