General Operators (Shift Work)

How to Apply:

We are seeking a number of reliable and hardworking General Operators to join our food manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating machinery, maintaining production lines, and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to health and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Operations: Operate machinery and equipment used in the food manufacturing process, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper sanitation of work areas, equipment, and personal hygiene practices.
  • Stock and Materials: Monitor raw material levels and report shortages to supervisors. Ensure correct ingredients are used according to product specifications.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately complete production records, including batch documentation, quality logs, and downtime reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and escalate any machinery faults, product defects, or process inefficiencies.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or similar production environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
