Flahavan’s “We Know Our Oats” Latte Art Competition – Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter
    The promoter is E. Flahavan & Sons Limited, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford, Ireland (“Flahavan’s”).
  2. Competition Period
    The competition opens on 03/11/2025 and closes at 23:59 on 04/05/2026. Entries received outside this period will not be considered.
  3. Eligibility
    • The competition is open to professional baristas aged 18 years or over who are both residents of the Republic of Ireland and employed by a café, coffee shop, or hospitality business serving coffee in the Republic of Ireland at the time of entry.
    • Proof of eligibility (including valid ID and proof of employment) may be required.
    • Employees of Flahavan’s, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
  4. How to Enter
    • Post a photo of your best latte art to your Instagram grid during the competition period.
    • Tag and follow @flahavansfoodservice.
    • Include the hashtag #weknowouroats in your post.
    • Entries must be your own original work created personally by you.
    • Only one entry per person is permitted.
    • Edited or filtered images are not permitted.
    • Your Instagram account must be set to public for your entry to be visible.
  5. Disqualification
    Flahavan’s reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, fail to comply with the entry requirements, are offensive, unlawful, infringe third-party intellectual property rights, or otherwise breach these Terms & Conditions.
  6. Prize
    • One winner will receive €1,000, paid via bank transfer within 30 days of confirmation of eligibility.
    • The prize is non-transferable and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
  7. Winner Selection and Notification
    • All valid entries will be judged by an independent panel of judges appointed by Flahavan’s. Entries will be judged on creativity, skill, and presentation.
    • The judges’ decision is final and binding; no correspondence will be entered into.
    • The winner will be contacted via direct message on Instagram within 10 working days of the closing date.
    • The winner must respond within 5 working days to confirm acceptance of the prize. If no response is received, Flahavan’s reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  8. Publicity and Content Rights
    • By entering, participants grant Flahavan’s a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and publish their entry (image and Instagram handle) for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, print, and advertising.
    • No further payment or compensation will be given.
  9. Liability
    • Flahavan’s accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, late, corrupted, misdirected, or not received due to technical or other issues beyond its control.
    • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flahavan’s will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this competition or acceptance of the prize.
  10. Instagram
    This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By entering, participants release Instagram from all liability in connection with the competition.
  11. General

Flahavan’s reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

    Personal data provided for the purposes of this competition will be processed in accordance with Flahavan’s privacy policy, available at www.flahavans.ie/privacy-policy.
  2. Governing Law
    These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
