Place the softened butter and salt in the mixing bowl and using the paddle attachment, mix for one minute, then add sugar, flour, oatmeal and baking powder. Add the eggs and lastly add the raisins or other fruit.
Roll into logs and let sit in fridge for 1 hour.
Slice into ½ inch thick slices and place on a baking tray.
Cook at 150°c/ 300°f/gas mark 2 until almost golden brown all over.
Remove from oven and place on wire rack to cool.

I've tried these and they're fantastic! Add a few chocolate chips at the rolling stage and they're just heavenly (dark 70% choc, not milk)
